FREEDOM - LIBERTY - EMANCIPATION Tuesday, July 22, 2025 Likutay Moharan - Torah-teaching 92 92 By means of what a person wanders in his house [In the language of the friends] By means of what a person wanders within his house, he can revive the dead , as it is written about Elisha when he revived the son of the Shunamite woman. It is written of him (2 Kings 4): “And he walked here and there” . And it is brought in the Tikkunim (Tikkun 13, page 27b): If not for the wings of the lung that blow upon the heart, the heart would burn the entire body. The lung and the heart correspond to the aspects of Yaakov and Yosef , as it is written (Micah 7): “Give truth to Yaakov” ( Peticha d’Eicha Rabbati , sign 2), and as it is written (Malachi 2): “Torah of truth” . The Torah consists of five books, corresponding to the five wings of the lung (Tikkun 25). Yosef corresponds to the aspect of the heart, for Yosef is called Tzofnat Paneach (at the end of Parashat Vayechi), and it is written (Psalms 119): “In my heart I have hidden” , etc. When the fire that is in the heart burns, it would consume the entire body. By means of the five wings of the lung moving and wandering, blowing upon the heart, they calm the warmth within the heart. As it is taught (Bereishit Rabbah, Vayeshev, Parsha 84): “Yaakov sought,” that is the lung wishing to dwell in tranquility, but the anger of Yosef — the warmth within the heart — jumped upon him. It is found that by means of what a person — which is the aspect of Torah, as it is written (Numbers 19): “This is the Torah of the person” — wandering even within his house, he can calm the fire, which is the aspect of judgments, and he can revive the dead so that they live.
